Is this thing on? Been a while since I posted on this damn thing. Don't have the time/patience/motivation/etc to fill everyone in on what's transpired since then. So maybe that's something for a later post, but I doubt it :-) Could write a whole fucking novel on that, alone. So reply if you're still out there in keyboard land. Cheers.

| [ | mood |
| | drunk | ] | Well... I guess it's high-time I posted something. Being that it's been Feb-u-ugly since I posted here's a re-cap: In March, I took up the new hobby of motorcycle-riding, something I've wanted to do since early childhood. I took the Basic Rider's Course in Alpharetta; something I recommend to anyone who rides a bike. It's saved my ass on more than one occasion. In April, I edited one of the entries of Atlanta's 48-Hour Film Contest, which won an audience award, and an award for best visual effects, thanks to Elli Mayhem's expertise in Adobe AfterEffects. This month, I've completed an edit for the same director and producer of an independent flick called PinWheel. I'll have to post a link to it after the final edit has been completed. That gig led to five free tickets to SLAYER at Hi-Fi Buy's Amphitheater (thanks, again, to Court and Jamie). So, here I am, sitting at Laura's house, watching car chases on the idiot-box, and typing away on the good ole' PowerBook. After a long day of productivity, I figure posting something on my LJ would be a good cap-off. Comments aren't expected, but appreciated. Cheers! |

Classes like Career Development *ugh* are on the back-burner, as I have a big enough steaming helping of editing projects to choke an elephant. I have about 2-3 quarters of school left, and am trying to get as many portfolio-quality projects onto my demo-reel as possible. Don't get me wrong. I'd MUCH rather sit in an air-conditioned room, at a desk, editing the day away than going out and busting my ass in the field and worrying about actors, corporate clearance for filming, securing cameras and lighting equipment, etc. I just hope I manage to have some time to breathe in between each helping. |

| [ | mood |
| | ecstatic | ] | After the recent email I got from my brother about Starbucks refusing to sell/give coffee to our troops in Iraq because "they don't support the war;" I found myself in search of a new coffee shop. My friend, Laura, and I found a place on 92 called PJ's Coffee. Not only does this place have better-tasting coffee (IMHO), better prices, and a friendlier staff; but they have FREE wi-fi. That's right... FREE internet access. They also have ethernet ports for those who don't have wi-fi cards. So, come on down, and ask for Scott. He da man! |

| [ | mood |
| | melancholy | ] | Well, for those who are interested, the Deep Sea Detectives episode will air one week from Monday; July 11 on the History Channel. I'll have to find out the exact time. However that is the last thing on my mind at the moment. Right now, I'm in the Hospitality Suite at St. Joseph's hospital with my dear friends Laura, Baswell, Sanders, and his father, Alex. Sanders' mother, Sue, is in the ICU, fighting for her life. A survivor of breast cancer, her health has gradually deteriorated ever since she stopped chemotherapy ten years ago. Countless years of smoking has taken its toll, as well. She is unconscious, has congestive heart failure, and isn't going to last much longer. At this point, it's not a matter of "if", rather "when." So, I lie here on my air-mattress because there's no comfy spots for a guy who's 6'3". Everyone except Baswell and myself are fast asleep. I couldn't sleep, even on this thing, so I thought I'd do what I could to kill time. It's almost too quiet in here. I know if I don't get some rest, I'm going to be a train-wreck at Az's party tomorrow. I just hope Sue's pain is minimal. Such a sweet lady, I'll miss her when she's gone. |

| [ | mood |
| | relaxed | ] | Well, I think we're on the last leg of this DSD Episode, which is about a German U-boat called the U2513. Larry Krantz's last day was this past Friday, and Paul is completing the final edits. We're *supposed* to deliver next Wednesday, and I'll post the scheduled air date when I find out. Other than that, things are really slowing down at work. In other news, I've been meeting some intriguing people on the MySpace site. If anyone who reads this is on that site, look me up. Cheers.
